Clinical Profile

Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA) is a synthetic, microscopic form of hydroxyapatite, which makes up 97% of tooth enamel. Because of its nanoscale size, it can physically plug open dentin tubules and fill microscopic fissures in the enamel. It is increasingly popular as a non-toxic, highly effective alternative to fluoride in premium oral care formulas.

Clinical Summary

Clinical trials demonstrate that nHA is equally as effective as fluoride in remineralizing early enamel lesions and is significantly more effective at reducing dentin hypersensitivity (tooth sensitivity).

Dosage Guidelines

Used topically in toothpastes or oral rinses. Brush twice daily; no systemic dosage limits as it is non-toxic if swallowed.

Safety & Side Effects

Extremely safe and biocompatible. Because it mimics the body's natural bone/tooth material, it carries no risk of fluorosis or toxicity if accidentally ingested.

Known Interactions

No known adverse drug interactions. Highly synergistic with xylitol and oral probiotics for comprehensive dental health.
